Thomas,

You are correct in that some of the items will be addressed in some form 
or another by the DVB-IPI group.  I have been tasked by the DVB-IPI group 
to keep them informed of what this group is up to and hopefully prevent 
any duplication of work.

A majority of the items below seemed to be already addressed in the
DVB-IPI (Internet Protocol Infrastructures) within the DVB consortium -
did anyone cross-check with those guys?
