MPE, is it necessary?

hi,
thanks or G.F for his explanation.
i want ask him, if i put directly IP packets in MPEG TP, and if i map IP
adress with PID, where can i found a problem? Because with PID, i have
all what i need.
another thing, can some one tell me how many multicast adress are used
until now? and since when? and how many they will be in the future, in
your opinion?
